We are very happy to continue by popular demand regular introductory archery sessions within Bridgwater.

If you have ever wanted to have a go at Archery or have seen it in the Olympics and thought ‘That looks fun’ then why not come along and give it a go!

The 2 hour session will include:

  • Free car parking within the secure unit compound
  • All necessary equipment
  • Safety Briefing
  • Introduction to the equipment used within archery
  • Introduction to the shooting and aiming techniques by a qualified and experienced instructor
  • Plenty of time for practice
  • Fun and games
  • A small competition!
  • Insurance for taking part in archery during the session is also included
  • Free Tea, Coffee and squash

A minimum of one introductory session will take place every month for individuals to be able to book onto. If there are four or more of you then please contact us to discuss running a session ata time to suite you.

Adult (over 12) – £20
Child (8 – 12) – £15

If two people book at the same time we give a 10% discount
If three people book at the same time we give a 20% discount
For more than three people please contact us for a group rate.

None, almost any one of any age or ability, with or without experience can take part in archery. If you do have experience and want to improve your personnel ability we can also improve your technique and maybe improve your aim!

We only need some basic details about any participants including medical and additional needs which can be given to us using our booking form, that’s it!

As we follow the Grand National Archery Societies range rules it is very unlikely that you will get hurt participating in archery. We also issue arm guards for all participants in case of the bow string strikes the forearm.

There is certainly no upper age limit, as long as the individual has the ability to use the paddle. We have taken out many older people who have wanted to join us and encourage everyone to give it a go!

We have a variety of bows of different sizes and poundage’s (strengths) however have a lower age limit of eight to ensure participants are developed enough to be able to shoot using basic technique and are mature enough to do as they are directed.

The amount of people at any introductory session can vary depending on how many have signed up to attend. To ensure every one gets a good amount of time shooting the maximum number for any one session will be nine.

Yes! The archer in charge of the range will always be a Grand National Archery Society leader who is experienced in both teaching and supervising a range and we have insurance just in case.
